Pep Rally Set to Support Hanna Football Team in Round 3 of Playoffs 11/27/2018 The Brownsville Independent School District is proud to host a Community Rally in support of the mighty Hanna Eagles football team. The football team is headed to the Regional Semi-Finals against San Antonio Brandeis this Saturday at the Alamodome. This marks the first time that the Hanna football program has made it to this level of competition. The Community Rally is being held to recognize the team for its accomplishments and to wish them success at Saturday’s game. The Rally is set for tomorrow, Wednesday, November 28th, at the Brownsville Sports Park – Stadium from 7 to 8 pm. Students, family members, and fans are invited to celebrate and take part in this spirited event as we help send off the Hanna football coaches

BISD HS BAND STUDENTS FLOURISH AT ALL-REGION BANDS AUDITION 12/6/2018 We are pleased to announce wonderful results from the auditions for the HS All-Region Bands of TMEA Region 28. With 141 members of the All-Region Bands (Honors and Symphonic), 190 members of the All-District Band, and 35 members of the 9th grade All-Region Band, BISD band programs proved once again that they are in it to win it! Furthermore, EIGHTY band members earned an opportunity to travel to area auditions in January. There, they will be competing for a coveted spot in the All-State Band! This is a new record for BISD and we are proud to know that each high school will have great representation in Corpus Christi! The TMEA Region 28 High School All-Region Bands will perform this Friday, December 7th, at the Harlingen CISD Performing Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. Join us for some fun and beautiful music-making at this free concert!
